Make Your Own Bisquick

I was making dinner when I realized that I was out of Bisquick, I panicked for a second but then decided to try to find a recipe to make my own, Well here is the recipe I used... Worked PERFECTLY!!

All-Purpose Mix
4 ½ c sifted flour
2 Tbsp sugar
1 Tbsp + 1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 c shortening
½ tsp salt
2/3 c powdered milk
Stir together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Sift together 2-3 times in a large bowl. Cut in shortening with pastry blender or two knives until the mixture is similar to cornmeal. Add dry milk. Use in recipes that call for Bisquick or all-purpose mix.

I have mine stored in jars in the refrigerator
